February 2011 saw the release of "Wounded Rhymes", a worldwide successful album packed full of pounding, voodoo drums, sparkling guitar lines, woozy keyboards, love unrequited, hope reignited and her own very powerful voice. The disc hit the top 3 in several European countries, climbed into the top 20 in Canada and inched into the top 40 of the U.S. Billboard 200 while the rollicking single, "Get Some", cracked the top 40 of The Alternative Songs chart with a peak of #31.

Lykke Li will released a new album, "I Never Learn", on May 5, 2014 via Atlantic. The Swedish songstress is stating that it is the final part of an album trilogy which began with 2008's "Youth Novels".

Four years after the release of I Never Learn, Swedish singer/songwriter Lykke Li returned with another, more effective set of heartbreakers on so sad so sexy. Her first effort without longtime collaborator Björn Yttling, so sad so sexy dips a toe into dark, atmospheric synth-forward pop, like a blend between the most morose of Lorde and Tove Lo's output. Executive produced by Li and Malay, the album also features work by Rostam Batmanglij, Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie, and T-Minus, whose combined work for Kanye West, the Weeknd, Frank Ocean, and Lana Del Rey can be felt throughout the ten-song collection. So sad so sexy is mostly the former, a mournful and bittersweet examination of a relationship on its last legs that features atmospherics as cavernous and cold as a dead heart. Despite the overwhelming sadness cocooning the album, Li's voice sparkles in this fresh, hip-hop/pop-leaning arena. Of the comparatively upbeat selections, "jaguars in the air" and the sleek Amine/Skrillex-assisted "two nights" are highlights, while "sex money feelings die" finds Li attempting a vaguely trap-meets-R&B delivery that marks the album's biggest stylistic departure from her previous work. The remaining tracks focus on the tear-jerking, detailing the infidelity, strife, bargaining, and desperation that accompany the disintegration of love. "So sad so sexy" takes its time slowly tearing a heart to pieces, while "better alone" disposes of the remnants with lines like "Better alone than lonely here with you" and "What are we gonna do when making love don't make it right?" Li's defeat and grief are palpable, yet she delivers with such grace and control, which offers a glimmer of hope for the fellow romantically downtrodden. With production to match, so sad so sexy succeeds in providing a relatable therapy session for love's final gasps.

As Nancy Elizabeth applies the finishing touches to the follow up to 2007's Battle and Victory album, we bring you news of a handful of live dates in the UK this February and March. Three of the shows are with legendary guitarist Peter Walker. More details on Nancy's second album very soon, but we expect to release it later this spring.

Nancy has been recording with James Yorkston again for a new project due out in the spring, following her appearance on the Scotsman's most recent Domino album, When The Haar Rolls In. Susumu Yokota's new album, Mother (Lo Recordings), which is due out in February, also features Nancy's vocal talents (incidentally, another guest on this album is Efterklang's Casper Clausen!).

Essie Jain begins a European tour in February, to promote her second album, The Inbetween. Based in New York, Essie played a handful of shows last year in Europe but this is her first proper tour. The Inbetween was released in November to widespread acclaim, and these shows will be her first in Europe since then. The album expands the horizons of her debut (We Made This Ourselves) with a broad spectrum of instrumentation and collaborators to embellish her stunning voice.

We are delighted to be able to announce the release of Wildbirds & Peacedrums' extraordinary second album, The Snake, on April 13. The follow up to Heartcore was recorded at the Soundtrack Of Our Lives-owned Svenska Grammofonstudion in their hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden. In addition to Andreas Werliin's invigorating percussion and Mariam Wallentin's mesmerising vocals, their sound is further enhanced with a range of instruments, including steel drum, piano, marimba and xylophones.

The album will be available on Leaf in the UK and Ireland, Australia, Benelux, France and Italy (Haldern Pop Recordings will be releasing The Snake in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and it will available through Swedish label Caprice elsewhere).
